Detailed Map (London to Far East Asia)

This is the route I followed on my first long trip from London to Far East Asia. The the end of each cycled day and in orange are the places visited off the bike.

In this section there is a page for each country with information about

  • Start and finish point of each day
  • Daily distance in km

The countries are in the chronological order I cycled them. When I visited a country twice I’ve put the information together in the page of that country.

On the days I crossed a border,  the information is included in the table of the country where I started the day.

Please note distances are approximate as I haven’t got an odometer and I use Maps. Me and Google Maps to calculate the daily distance.

  1. Hola Blanca!

    Soco

  3. Hi Blanca
Not sure where to leave you a message so am doing it here! Just wanted to say how lovely and inspirational it is to read your posts. Like you I have found that travel transforms me – my mindset, my views of ‘others’, my sense of the shape of the world, the simple generous actions of others – it strips life down to the essentials.
So just wanted to say I am following you and being with you on your journey. Keep safe.
    Love Elaine

  4. Hello Blanca !

  5. Hello Blanca!
I hope you liked to travel through Romania even though weather was sometimes the antagonist. We don’t have special landscapes but we are hospitable and invite you to us.

  6. Good advice Darren! I have just ineetsvd in 2 Ortlieb water sacks, and have 1.5l in two bottles on the frame (third position taken up by a fuel bottle under the down tube). The Ortliebs are flattish when filled and sit inside the back hold-all on top of the frame with the tent, sleeping bag and therm-a-rest (each in its own dry bag). The two litre size is easy to fit into a relatively small space. They are made of very rugged material and I will probably get two more as they roll up small and are light when not in use. Glad you enjoyed the last tour!

  7. Hello Blanca!
Congratulations on your trip so far! You’ve done so well and I know it’s tough on your own at times, but OHHHHH! the rewards are great! I am planning on being in Pakistan in late May/June doing the Karakoram, but coming in from India, going north to the border with China, and then back down into India and continuing north again into Kashmir/Ladakh, Leh route before heading across Nepal…etc…If you think to join me, even for the Karakoram I would be very happy! I know your route is the opposite of what I am doing, but just thought I’d give you another option!!! I like riding by myself, but sometimes it’s nice to join in with another person too!
